Motorola to train 1,000 NAZA's employees to improve their skills in improving productivity and revenue

Kuala Lumpur, 15 April 2009 - Motorola University Asia Pacific signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with NAZA Group of Companies to provide training for about 1,000 Naza employees to enhance their skills in improving productivity and revenue.

Naza group chief executive officer SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin said the move was a significant step forward for the group, moving from being a family-owned business into an organisation of 23 companies adhering to a multi-national organisation culture. "We are in the midst of undertaking various measures to transform our corporate culture to be par with multi-national companies," he said at the signing ceremony.

Among the international brands handled by the group include Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Brabus, Porsche, Mazda, Perodua, Harley Davidson and Ducati. It also assembles and manufactures Naza's own bikes for the local and regional markets.

Naza began from a humble beginning as a used car business under Naza Motor Trading in 1975 and has since evolved into a diversified conglomerate venturing in multiple automotive sectors such as retailing, importing, distribution and dealership for international marques.
