What is it?

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) in software engineering and organizational development is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements for effective process improvement. It can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organization.

CMMI can help integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.

Program goals

Upon completion, participants will be able to:
•	Provide the organization with knowledge of the SEI CMMI framework
•	Manage product development and maintenance of processes in a systematic manner by using the CMMI process framework
•	Understand current process maturity or capability, with respect to SEI CMMI by performing "A Detailed Gap Analysis"
•	Leverage on Motorola's CMMI Compliant Process Assets to speed up deployment of CMMI institutionalization
•	Motivate and create a management and engineering culture of continuous software improvement via metrics and deploy advanced engineering techniques like Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma Campaign to complement CMMI efforts
•	Plan for future improvement
•	Implement process changes and ensure a disciplined process is consistently followed
•	Plan and prepare the organization for the SCAMPI assessment
•	Continuously update processes along with cost benefit analysis
